Gather, Make & Market was a Shared World Collective initiative in partnership with Mosaic Multicultural Connections, proudly sponsored by City of Newcastle.

The initiative brought together women from the Hazara, Arabic, Afghan and Indian communities to participate in artisan workshops and small-business skills development, fostering cultural expression and pathways to economic participation.

Activities included:

• Creative workshops in candle making, nature ink painting, hand embroidery and sewing

• Maker sessions to produce products for market

• Sustainable resource sourcing and retail tour with The Makers Place Hunter Region, and The Full Circle Collective

• Marketing and retail experience at The Olive Tree Market

• Small-business coaching sessions for budding entrepreneurs with Thrive Refugee Enterprise
